About the Winery

Maison Chanzy was founded in 1974 by Daniel Chanzy in Bouzeron, located in the northern part of the Côte Chalonnaise in Burgundy. Chanzy envisioned Côte Chalonnaise wines that would rival the greatness of the Côte d'Or and invested heavily in vineyards. In 2013, a group of Burgundy wine lovers purchased Chanzy and have expanded the holdings to a total of 163 acres (approximately 80 hectares of their own vines) across Côte Chalonnaise and Côte d'Or. The estate spans 40 appellations in 8 villages, featuring 11 Grand Crus and 14 Premier Crus. Chanzy is a leading producer in Côte Chalonnaise with holdings in Bouzeron (including the monopole Clos de la Fortune), Rully, Givry, and Mercurey, as well as impressive crus in Puligny-Montrachet and Vosne-Romanée. The estate is certified HVE Level 3 and practices sustainable farming without herbicides or pesticides. Winemaker Max Blondelle crafts wines that eloquently communicate their terroirs.
