About the Winery

Jean-Paul Baritel is a wine producer in the Morgon appellation of Beaujolais. Morgon is one of the ten Beaujolais crus and is known for producing some of the most structured and age-worthy wines in the region. The wines are made from Gamay grapes grown on granitic soils with a high schist content, giving them a distinctive character. Morgon wines are known for their depth, complexity, and ability to develop beautifully with age, displaying notes of cherry, plum, and earthy minerality.
