About the Winery

David Duthel, along with his wife Katy, owns Domaine Ruet in the Beaujolais region. Located at the foot of Mont Brouilly in Cercié-en-Beaujolais, the 20-hectare estate has been in the family since 1926, spanning four generations. The domaine produces wines across six appellations including Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly, Morgon, Chiroubles, Régnié, and Beaujolais Villages, as well as Crémant de Bourgogne. The estate is certified HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) and produces organic wines. Brouilly is considered Beaujolais' greatest Cru, and Domaine Ruet exemplifies the finesse and elegance possible from the granite and pink granite soils of the region.
