About the Winery

Domaine Comte de Monspey is a family estate founded in 1632 by Etienne de Monspey, a close associate of King Henri IV. Located in Charentay in the Beaujolais region, the estate has been passed down through 12 generations and is currently managed by Stéphane Gibert de Monspey. The estate produces Brouilly wines, one of the ten Beaujolais crus, crafted from Gamay grapes grown on the volcanic and granite soils around Mont Brouilly. The Cuvée du Commandeur is their flagship wine.
