Château de l' Auche
About the Winery
Champagne Ch. de l'Auche was founded in 1961 in Janvry, 15km west of Reims, in a place known as 'L'Auche.' The adventure began when 7 independent winegrowers decided to join forces and pool resources. Today, with 115 hectares spread over 40 vineyards, including some classified as Premier Cru, Champagne Ch. de l'Auche relies on the tireless labour of 60 winegrowers. The cooperative is known for its Blanc de Noirs Champagnes, made from vineyards mostly planted with Pinot Meunier. The wines also feature Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The Brut Sélection is comprised of 85% Pinot Meunier and 15% Pinot Noir, delivering aromatic notes of pear, apricot, hazelnut, and fresh bread.
“A cooperative of 60 winegrowers crafting Premier Cru Champagne since 1961, specializing in Pinot Meunier.”
