About the Winery
Earl Branchaud is a wine estate in Ozillac, in the Charentes region of western France. The estate produces Pineau des Charentes, the region's signature fortified aperitif wine. Pineau des Charentes is created by blending fresh grape juice with Cognac eau-de-vie, resulting in a sweet, aromatic fortified wine. The estate has been recognized in the Guide Hachette des Vins for its Pineau des Charentes, earning a star rating for quality. Visitors are welcomed for tastings and tours of the vineyard and facilities by appointment. The estate also produces very old Pineau aged for more than 10 years.
