About the Winery
Sylvie and Pascal Sauzeau are wine producers in the Charentes region of western France. The Charentes is internationally renowned as the home of Cognac, one of the world's finest spirits, and Pineau des Charentes, a unique fortified aperitif wine. The region's mild oceanic climate and chalky soils create ideal conditions for growing Ugni Blanc, the primary grape variety used for Cognac production. The estate produces wines that contribute to the rich viticultural heritage of the Charentes, either as base wines for Cognac distillation or as Pineau des Charentes.
“A family estate in the Charentes region producing wines for Cognac and Pineau des Charentes.”
