Scea des Piniers
About the Winery
SCEA des Piniers is a wine estate in the Charentes region of western France. The Charentes is internationally renowned as the home of Cognac, but it also produces a range of wines including Pineau des Charentes, a fortified aperitif made from fresh grape juice blended with Cognac eau-de-vie. The region's mild oceanic climate and chalky soils, similar to those of Champagne, create ideal conditions for growing Ugni Blanc, the primary grape variety used for Cognac. The estate contributes to the rich viticultural heritage of the Charentes, producing wines and possibly Pineau des Charentes.
“A Charentes estate contributing to the region's rich tradition of wine and fortified wines.”
