Roland Bouchacourt is a wine producer in Saint-Georges-de-Reneins, located in the northern Beaujolais region. The estate produces wines exclusively from Gamay grapes, the signature variety of Beaujolais. The wines are crafted from vineyards in some of the best and most famous crus of Beaujolais, including Moulin-à-Vent (known as the most powerful and age-worthy Beaujolais), Brouilly (fruity and round), and Saint-Amour (the northernmost cru, known for its finesse). Bouchacourt's wines are made in the traditional Beaujolais style, emphasizing the fruity, elegant character of Gamay grown on the region's granite and schist soils.
