About the Winery
Nicolas Gélis is a former brickworks manager who successfully transitioned into winemaking in the Fronton region. He successively acquired three châteaux: Ferran (1994), Montauriol (1998), and Cahuzac (2008), establishing a significant wine trading business. With over 100 hectares of vineyards across diverse terroirs, he has become a mainstay of the Fronton appellation, with Laurent Fadat overseeing winemaking. Fronton is known for its indigenous Negrette grape, which gives the wines their distinctive violet aromas and supple texture. The region is located between the Tarn and Garonne rivers, benefiting from a warm climate and gravelly soils.
