About the Winery

Maison Yves Duport is a family estate in Bugey, the smallest wine-producing region of France, located between the Rhône Valley and Savoie. The domaine has been built up over four generations to nearly 10 hectares of vines in rugged terrain. The estate has practiced organic farming since 2007 and follows biodynamic methods. Three main soil types define the terroir: white marl clay soils perfect for Altesse and Mondeuse, silica and limestone soils ideal for Chardonnay, and clay and limestone mountain screes where Pinot Noir excels. The estate produces approximately 50% Bugey Blanc, 30% traditional method sparkling wines, and 20% Bugey Rouge. Their signature cuvée is 'Originelle,' a traditional method sparkling wine passed down through three generations.
