About the Winery
Claude et Colette Bulabois is a wine estate in the Arbois appellation of the Jura region, established in the early 1970s. Claude Bulabois was a cooperative member until the mid-1990s before transitioning to estate bottling. The Arbois AOC was the first French AOC to be recognized by decree on May 15, 1936. The Jura is known for its unique wine styles including Vin Jaune (yellow wine), Vin de Paille (straw wine), and traditional oxidative whites, as well as reds from Poulsard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir. The region's five authorized grape varieties are Poulsard, Chardonnay, Savagnin, Pinot Noir, and Trousseau. The wines of the Jura are celebrated for their uniqueness and excellent value.
