Philippe Auchère
About the Winery
Philippe Auchère is a wine producer in the Sancerre appellation of the Loire Valley. Sancerre is one of the most famous white wine appellations in the world, renowned for its crisp, mineral Sauvignon Blanc wines. Located in the eastern part of the Loire Valley, Sancerre sits on a series of hills with three main soil types: caillottes (limestone gravels), terres blanches (clay-limestone), and silex (flint). The flint soils in particular give Sancerre wines their distinctive gunflint minerality. Philippe Auchère produces wines that express the classic Sancerre characteristics of citrus, gooseberry, and mineral complexity.
“A Sancerre producer crafting classic Sauvignon Blanc wines from the renowned Loire Valley appellation.”
