Richard Brague
About the Winery
Richard Brague is the owner of Domaine de Vavril, an 18th-century manor house estate in Beaujolais that he purchased in 2004. Originally from France but having lived in London, Richard bought the abandoned estate and restored it to create a sanctuary for family gatherings and wine production. The estate spans 14 hectares with a selection of 6 hectares of old vines up to 100 years old. Working with winemaker Jean-Luc Ducruix, the estate produces Beaujolais-Villages wines from Gamay grapes. The domaine features a gîte de France (four épis) for visitors and has become an exceptional venue for receptions, weddings, and wine tourism while maintaining its authentic character and family spirit.
