Domaine gabriel Billard
About the Winery
Domaine Gabriel Billard is a historic family-run winery in Burgundy with winemaking traditions dating back to 1730. Located in the village of La Rochepot in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, the estate is managed by Laurence Jobard and Mireille Desmonet, the 7th generation of the Billard family to make wine. Laurence Jobard is a celebrated oenologist who served as head winemaker for the Joseph Drouhin family for over 20 years. The estate produces approximately 975 cases annually from old vines (50-75 years), including wines from Pommard, Pommard 1er Cru Les Charmots, and Bourgogne Rouge. The domaine is known for its precise, subtle wines that express the typicity of each terroir. Current winemaker Jérôme Billard has transitioned the estate to organic farming and uses indigenous yeasts for fermentation.
