About the Winery

Château L'Espérance is a 12-hectare estate operating under the Bordeaux Supérieur AOC, located in the commune of Villegouge near Saint-Martin du Bois. The vineyard has been converted to organic agriculture since 2011, with the 2014 vintage being the first certified organic harvest. The estate is planted with 100% Merlot on silt and clay soils, with vines averaging 30 years of age. The wines are vinified traditionally with 20 to 30 days of vatting in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, followed by 12 months of ageing. The wines are dense with deep purple color, offering rich aromas of preserved fruit enhanced by peppery touches.
