About the Winery

Jérôme Janodet is a highly regarded winemaker in Romanèche-Thorins, in the Beaujolais region. He took over Domaine Les Fines Graves from his late father Jacky Janodet, who was known as an artisan producer of first-class Cru Beaujolais. The domaine's 17.2 acres of vineyards include a high percentage of very old vines, yielding wines that are incredibly rich and powerful for Beaujolais. Jérôme continues to produce excellent wines from Beaujolais-Villages, Chénas, and Saint-Amour appellations. However, it is Moulin-à-Vent—traditionally known as the 'king' of Beaujolais wines for its powerful, full-flavored character—that reigns at this estate. Jérôme also has a separate domaine in Chénas, Domaine des Vieilles Caves, where he makes a sumptuous Saint-Amour from a small plot of 75- to 100-year-old vines, producing only about 200 cases annually.

Artisan producer of powerful Cru Beaujolais from old vines, continuing his father's legacy in Moulin-à-Vent and Chénas.
