About the Winery

SCEA Héritiers du Comte de Raousset (Château de Raousset) is a historic estate founded in 1850 by Comte de Raousset, situated in the heart of the Beaujolais GeoPark. The 35-hectare estate extends over three prestigious crus: Chiroubles (the highest cru at 250-400 meters), Fleurie, and Morgon. The estate is planted with Gamay Noir and Chardonnay on granite soils with varying clay content. The history is closely bound with the Beaujolais region, contributing to the international influence of these crus since the 19th century. Napoleon III awarded the estate a gold medal at the Universal Exposition of 1867. Today, the estate is managed by Rémy Passot and the descendants of the founding family, including Corinne de Lassagne, Charles Eric de la Chapelle, and Véronique Peillon. The estate produces 80,000 bottles annually, with wines known for their delicacy, subtlety, and rich aromas.
