About the Winery

Domaine Comte Abbatucci is one of Corsica's oldest and most prestigious wineries, run by Jean-Charles Abbatucci and his daughter Faustine. Considered one of the oldest vineyards in Corsica, the domaine extends over 21 hectares of granite slopes in the heart of the Taravo valley in Southern Corsica, at an altitude of about 150 meters. The estate is certified biodynamic by Demeter and Biodyvin. Jean-Charles is a passionate defender of old Corsican grape varieties, maintaining an ampelographic collection initiated by his father Antoine Abbatucci. The estate's Collection cuvées are named after illustrious ancestors: Ministre Impérial, Général de la Révolution Française, and Diplomate d'Empire. Jean-Charles is known for his innovative approach, including playing violin for his vines and in the cellar during fermentation. The wines are elegant, fine, balanced, and mineral, expressing the unique Corsican terroir.
