Stéphane Aladame
About the Winery
Stéphane Aladame is a renowned winemaker in Montagny-lès-Buxy, in the Côte Chalonnaise subregion of Burgundy. In 1992, at just 18 years old, he founded his domaine with only 28 ares of vines. Today, the estate spans nearly 8 hectares, with 7 hectares classified as Montagny Premier Cru. The vineyards are planted on clay-limestone soils rich in limestone, imparting characteristic minerality and freshness to his Chardonnay wines. Stéphane practices organic viticulture, cultivating soils without herbicides and harvesting by hand. His wines are known for their purity, finesse, and ability to rival those of the Côte de Beaune at more accessible prices. He has earned an outstanding reputation in France for his commitment to quality and expression of terroir. The estate produces six different Montagny Premier Cru bottlings as well as Crémant de Bourgogne.
“A self-taught Burgundian prodigy who founded his domaine at 18 and now crafts exceptional Premier Cru Chardonnays in Montagny.”
