La Fine Goule
About the Winery
La Fine Goule is a producer of Pineau des Charentes in the Charentes region of western France. Pineau des Charentes is a fortified wine (vin de liqueur) made by adding cognac eau-de-vie to fresh grape must, which stops fermentation and preserves the grape's natural sugars. The resulting wine is aged in oak barrels for at least one year. Pineau can be white (from Ugni Blanc, Colombard, and Folle Blanche), Rose, or red (from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot). The Charentes region is also world-famous for its Cognac production.
