Domaine Geneletti et Fils
About the Winery
Domaine Geneletti is located in Château-Chalon, one of France's most beautiful villages and the spiritual home of Vin Jaune. In 1976, Michel Geneletti decided to take over the winegrowing business, and twenty years later he was joined by his son David, who now represents the third generation. Together, they developed a coherent range of white, red, and Rose Côtes-du-Jura, Vin Jaune (the famous Château-Chalon), Vin de Paille (straw wine), and Macvin. The estate cultivates 13 hectares with Chardonnay (60%), Savagnin (40%) for whites, and Pinot Noir (40%), Poulsard (20%), and Trousseau (40%) for reds. The wines are known for their nutty, complex character typical of the Jura region.
“A third-generation estate in Château-Chalon producing the full range of Jura wines including Vin Jaune, Vin de Paille, and Macvin.”
