Domaine de Bellivière
About the Winery
Domaine de Bellivière is one of the most celebrated estates in the Jasnières and Coteaux-du-Loir appellations of the Loire Valley. Founded in 1995 by Eric and Christine Nicolas, the estate now covers 18 hectares scattered over 65 parcels in 6 villages, with their son Clément joining in 2015. The domaine is certified biodynamic (Demeter) and produces wines primarily from Chenin Blanc and Pineau d'Aunis. Their wines are known for their crystalline purity, minerality, and ability to age beautifully. The estate produces several cuvées including Les Rosiers and Calligrame from Jasnières, and the celebrated Rouge-Gorge from old-vine Pineau d'Aunis. In 2016, they created 'Les Arches de Bellivière,' a négociant project working with biodynamic growers.
“A certified biodynamic estate of 18 hectares producing crystalline Chenin Blanc from Jasnières and expressive Pineau d'Aunis from Coteaux-du-Loir.”
