Famille de Menthon
About the Winery
The de Menthon family has a rich history in the Savoie region, with the Château de Menthon dating back to the 13th century. The vineyard at the foot of the castle has an ancestral history, already attested in the 13th century. In 2017, the de Menthon family created the association 'Le clos du château' to re-establish vines at the foot of the castle using biodynamic methods. Florent Héritier, a winegrower and farmer from Frangy, was chosen for his know-how. The project aims not only to reintroduce vines but also to provide an educational resource highlighting the rural history of the region. The first bottles are available at the castle shop.
