Champagne Le Gallais

2 Rue Maurice Gilbert, 51480 Boursault, France

About the Winery

Champagne Le Gallais is a family estate in Boursault, a few kilometers from Epernay in the Marne Valley. The domain's history began in 1927 when Hachod Fringhian, Charlotte Morgain Le Gallais' great-great-grandfather, acquired the Domaine de Boursault, which had previously belonged to Madame Veuve Clicquot (who built the Château de Boursault in 1843). Five generations later, Charlotte manages 7 unique plots within the family clos, overlooking the Marne Valley. The press, cellars, and winemaking buildings are all located within the clos, ensuring freshness from harvest to pressing. The clay-limestone soil, with its filtering limestone and cool clay, contributes to the balance and finesse of their champagnes. The estate has been in organic conversion since 2022 and operates as Récoltant Manipulant.
