About the Winery

Maison Rémy Martin, founded in 1724, is one of the four grandes maisons of Cognac and the only major house producing exclusively from Fine Champagne eaux-de-vie — a blend of Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, the two most prestigious crus of Cognac. Since its founding by Rémy Martin, the house has been sustained by a profound love of the land, continuity of family ownership, and passionate commitment to excellence. Today it is owned by Rémy Cointreau. The house produces a range of cognacs including VSOP (400+ eaux-de-vie, minimum 4 years), 1738 Accord Royal (named for Louis XV's royal authorization), XO Excellence (minimum 10 years), and the prestigious Louis XIII (up to 1,200 eaux-de-vie aged 40-100 years in Baccarat crystal decanters). In 2024, the house celebrated its 300th anniversary with the reopening of its historic site in Cognac to visitors, offering 30 different themed experiences.
