Jean-Claude Dhiersat is a wine producer in the Charentes region of western France. This region is world-famous as the birthplace of Cognac, the prestigious grape brandy that has been produced here for over 300 years. The Charentes benefits from a mild maritime climate and chalky soils that are perfect for growing Ugni Blanc, the grape variety used almost exclusively for Cognac. In addition to Cognac, the region produces Pineau des Charentes, a delightful fortified wine. Jean-Claude Dhiersat represents the long tradition of family winegrowing that has made the Charentes one of the most recognized wine regions in the world.
