Alain Gousseland is a wine producer in the Charentes region of western France, the historic home of Cognac. The Charentes region has a viticultural tradition dating back to Roman times, with its unique terroir of limestone soils and mild oceanic climate producing grapes ideal for both Cognac distillation and still wine production. The region is also known for Pineau des Charentes, a fortified wine that combines fresh grape juice with young Cognac. Alain Gousseland continues the tradition of artisanal wine and spirit production that characterizes this world-famous wine region.
