About the Winery

Maison Jacquesson was founded in 1798 and was later acquired by the Chiquet family in 1974. Brothers Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet have transformed the house into one of Champagne's most respected estates in just thirty years. The house controls approximately 30 hectares of vines in Premier and Grand Cru villages including Avize, Dizy, Aÿ, and Hautvillers, supplementing with purchased grapes exclusively from Premier and Grand Cru sites. For over twenty years, the brothers have championed traditionalist and meticulous methods: respecting the soil, controlling yields, ensuring optimal grape maturity, parcel-by-parcel vinification, and aging in oak barrels. Their signature Cuvée 700 series (non-vintage champagnes that prioritize excellence over consistency) has remarkable aging potential. Napoleon I was among the house's famous patrons, and ancestor Adolphe Jacquesson invented the wire muselet (cage) still used on Champagne bottles today.

Founded in 1798, a benchmark Champagne house producing terroir-focused wines from Premier and Grand Cru vineyards.
