Gaec Charrier-Massoteau is an agricultural cooperative (GAEC) wine estate located in Doué-la-Fontaine, in the Anjou region of the Loire Valley. Doué-la-Fontaine is known as the 'Capital of the Rose' and is located in the heart of the Saumur wine region. The estate produces wines that benefit from the region's tuffeau limestone soils and temperate climate. The Loire Valley's Anjou-Saumur area is renowned for its Cabernet Franc reds, Chenin Blanc whites, and sparkling wines made using the traditional method. The GAEC structure allows the estate to combine resources and expertise to produce quality wines.
