Nicolas Altermatt is a wine producer based in Bergerac, in the South West of France. The Bergerac region, located near Bordeaux, shares a similar climate and grape varieties with its more famous neighbor. The area produces a range of wine styles including red, white, and Rose wines from varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Sémillon. Nicolas Altermatt represents the new generation of winemakers in Bergerac who are working to elevate the region's reputation by producing high-quality wines that express the unique character of the local terroir.
