Château de Chissay is a former fortified château in the Loire Valley that stands as a witness to numerous episodes of French history. Built by Charles VII, both Charles VII and Louis XI resided here. In June 1940, the château served as General de Gaulle's headquarters where he presented his plans. Today, the château offers accommodations in two categories - 'Piscine' and 'Standard' - allowing guests to experience authentic château life. Located in the Touraine wine region, the property immerses visitors in the heart of Loire Valley vineyards, near the famous Chenonceau château. The estate is a gateway to discovering the wines of Touraine, including the local Chenonceaux appellation.
