About the Winery

Château des Ormes de Pez is an 18th-century estate located in the northern part of the Saint-Estèphe appellation in the Médoc region of Bordeaux. The estate has been owned by the Cazes family since 1940, when Jean-Charles Cazes acquired it simultaneously with the famous Château Lynch-Bages. The domain extends over 35 hectares with four Bordeaux grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The techniques of vinification combine tradition and modernity, producing harmonious wines. The first wine, Ormes de Pez, is classified as Cru Bourgeois, a denomination considered today as a particularly qualitative label. The estate also offers guest accommodations with warm, spacious rooms with garden views, a swimming pool, and homemade breakfast with fresh local products.
