Château d'Etoges

4 Rue Richebourg, 51270 Étoges, France

About the Winery

Château d'Étoges is a magnificent 17th-century château located in the heart of the Champagne vineyards, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Originally built by the Counts of Anglure on the foundations of a 12th-century fortress, the château has been classified as a Historical Monument since 1956. Set within a 19-hectare park featuring fountains, ponds, and wooded grounds, the estate now operates as a luxury hotel with 29 rooms and suites, a gourmet restaurant 'L'Orangerie', a bistro 'L'Atelier', and a spa offering treatments with Bach Flower remedies. The château's history is intertwined with French royalty - François I stayed here in 1544, and Louis XIV was received here in 1687. The estate offers a unique combination of historic charm, gastronomic excellence, and immersion in the Champagne wine region.
