SCEA Vignobles Avril is a wine estate in Galgon, in the Fronsadais region on the Right Bank of Bordeaux. Galgon is located near Libourne, in an area known for producing Merlot-dominant red wines. The Fronsac and Canon-Fronsac appellations are among the oldest in Bordeaux, with a history of viticulture dating back to Roman times. The region's limestone and clay soils are ideal for Merlot, which produces rich, supple wines with good aging potential. The estate crafts wines that showcase the classic Right Bank Bordeaux style.
