Château des Couldraies is a wine estate in the Loire Valley, located in Saint-Georges-sur-Cher, just 2 km from the world-famous Château de Chenonceau and 40 km from Tours. The estate features a 16th-century Renaissance castle that was once a hunting lodge for Chenonceau, favored by French kings François I, Henri II, and Diane de Poitiers. The 10-hectare vineyard is divided between about 60% red and 40% white grape varieties, including Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Gamay, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, and Sauvignon Blanc. Several plots are between 50 and 100 years old. The estate is certified HVE-3 (Haute Valeur Environnementale) for its commitment to biodiversity and sustainable agriculture.
