About the Winery

Freddy Brun is a wine producer in the Charentes region of southwestern France. The Charentes is best known as the home of Cognac, one of the world's most famous brandies, produced from white grapes (primarily Ugni Blanc) grown in six designated crus around the towns of Cognac and Jarnac. The region also produces Pineau des Charentes, a fortified aperitif wine made from a blend of grape must and Cognac eau-de-vie. Small producers in the region often focus on growing grapes for the major Cognac houses or produce their own artisanal spirits.
