Gilbert Dontenville

About the Winery

Gilbert Dontenville is a wine producer in Châtenois, in the Bas-Rhin department of Alsace, near the town of Sélestat. The domaine cultivates approximately 10 hectares, primarily on granitic soils that give the wines their characteristic freshness and minerality. The village is situated at the foot of the Hahnenberg, a crystalline hillside. Dontenville produces wines from all seven Alsatian grape varieties, with particular recognition for his Pinot Gris, which reveals smoky aromas and good length. The estate is open daily from 9:00 to 19:00 for tastings and direct sales.
