About the Winery

The Coopérative des Vins de Bandol represents the cooperative wine production in the Bandol AOC, one of Provence's most prestigious appellations. Bandol was established as an AOC in 1941 and is renowned for its powerful, structured red wines made predominantly from Mourvèdre (minimum 50% of the blend). The cooperative model brings together multiple small growers, with two main cooperatives handling about 40% of production, while 63 independent wineries account for the remaining 60%. The appellation covers approximately 1,617 hectares around the towns of Bandol, Le Castellet, and La Cadière-d'Azur. Bandol is particularly famous for its reds, which are considered among the best in Provence with exceptional aging potential.
