Château Forbin de Janson is a wine estate located in Villelaure in the Luberon region of Provence, within the southern Rhône Valley. The property is named after the Forbin-Janson family, an aristocratic French family with a long history in the region. The estate produces wines under the Côtes du Luberon (now Luberon AOC) appellation. The Luberon is characterized by its limestone soils, Mediterranean climate, and varied terroirs that are well-suited to producing reds, whites, and Roses from the classic southern Rhône grape varieties. The wines are known for their approachability and authentic expression of Provençal terroir.
