Domaine Bernard-Bonin
About the Winery
Domaine Bernard-Bonin is a highly regarded Burgundy estate founded in 1998 by Nicolas Bernard and Véronique Bonin in Meursault, the heart of white Burgundy. Véronique is a member of the Michelot family, and the domaine initially began with 6 hectares inherited from her mother, Geneviève. It has since grown to 9 hectares with additional vineyards from family members. The estate produces exceptional Meursault wines including premier crus such as Genevrières, Charmes-Dessus, and Clos du Cromin, as well as Puligny-Montrachet Premier Crus. The domaine is certified organic (Ecocert) and biodynamic (Demeter). Their winemaking approach is deliberately minimalist: natural yeasts, no enzymes, no filtration, and minimal sulfur. Wines are aged 15-18 months in oak barrels, with bottling synchronized to the lunar calendar.
“An acclaimed Meursault estate founded in 1998 by Nicolas Bernard and Véronique Bonin, producing pure, mineral Chardonnays from organic and biodynamic vineyards.”
