About the Winery

Domaine Saint-Cyr is a 23-hectare organic estate in Anse in the southern Beaujolais, run by fourth-generation vigneron Raphaël Saint-Cyr. The estate dates back to 1949 when Pierre Saint-Cyr settled in Anse, and the family began focusing solely on winegrowing in the 1960s. Raphaël took over in 2008 and converted the entire estate to certified organic viticulture, making it one of the largest organic domaines in Beaujolais. The domain encompasses 18 hectares in the Pierres Dorées (golden limestone) and 5 hectares in the northern crus of Morgon, Chénas, and Moulin-à-Vent. Raphaël practices biodynamic viticulture and natural winemaking without additives. Since 2019, all red wines are vinified using cold carbonic fermentation. In 2020, he began plowing with two Comtois draft horses, Samba and El Suegno.

One of the largest organic domaines in Beaujolais, run by fourth-generation Raphaël Saint-Cyr, crafting natural wines from 23 hectares across Beaujolais and the Crus.
