About the Winery
Château de Beau-Site is a historic Bordeaux estate dating back to the 18th century, located in Portets on the Left Bank of Bordeaux. The estate takes its name from its beautiful site with stunning views of the Garonne River. Since 1955, the property has been owned by the Casteja family, who also own the well-known négociant Borie-Manoux. The 40-hectare vineyard is planted to 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. The terroir features gravel, clay, and sand soils on slopes with peak elevations of 20 meters. The wine is aged in an average of 50% new French oak barrels for 12-15 months.
“An 18th-century Bordeaux estate with stunning Garonne River views, crafting classic Left Bank wines from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.”
