About the Winery
Château Belles Eaux is a family-owned estate of 78 hectares situated in Languedoc in the South of France, bordering the Mediterranean Sea between the Pyrenees and the Rhône. The 'Mas' and its vaulted cellar were built in the 17th century. The estate was named Belles Eaux because of the many springs that flow around the Château and into the River Peyne. The climate is Mediterranean with mild winters and warm, dry summers, perfect for growing native grapes including Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Carignan. The estate reorganized its vineyard around traditional Languedoc grape varieties, with long, gentle maceration winemaking processes.
“A 78-hectare family estate in Languedoc, named for its beautiful springs, crafting wines from Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre since the 17th century.”
