Thierry Beaumont
About the Winery
The Beaumont family's winemaking heritage spans over seven generations, with Thierry Beaumont taking the helm in 1991 and establishing Domaine des Beaumont. Situated in the three communes of Morey-Saint-Denis, Gevrey-Chambertin, and Chambolle-Musigny, the domaine farms just over 5 hectares in the Côte de Nuits. The estate produces some very fine Burgundy wines, mainly reds, accompanied by a single cuvée of white Morey-Saint-Denis. In 1999, Thierry and his wife Sylvie began bottling their own wines. The domain includes superb Grand Cru parcels (Charmes-Chambertin and Mazoyères-Chambertin) and Premier Cru parcels including Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes. The estate uses integrated viticulture methods and vinifies its wines with indigenous yeasts. Today, a new generation has joined: Tanguy is in charge of commercial development, while Exupéry manages the vineyard.
“A seven-generation Burgundy estate in Morey-Saint-Denis producing fine red wines from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards in the Côte de Nuits.”
