About the Winery
Gaec Charpentier Père et Fils was a wine-producing estate in Vallet, in the Loire-Atlantique department of the Pays Nantais region. The estate produced wines from the Muscadet Côtes de Grand Lieu and Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellations, working with the Melon de Bourgogne grape variety. The Pays Nantais is the westernmost part of the Loire Valley, located near the Atlantic coast and the city of Nantes. The region is famous for its crisp, mineral Muscadet wines, which are the perfect pairing for the seafood of the Atlantic coast. The estate was managed by Joël Charpentier and was closed in 2015.
“A former Muscadet estate in Vallet producing wines from the Melon de Bourgogne grape in the Pays Nantais.”
