About the Winery

Sven Anders Aakesson is a wine producer in Draguignan, in the Provence region of southeastern France. The area around Draguignan produces wines under the Côtes de Provence appellation, which is world-famous for its pale, dry Rose wines. The Provence wine region has a history dating back over 2,600 years, making it one of the oldest wine-producing regions in France. The Mediterranean climate, with abundant sunshine and cooling sea breezes, creates ideal conditions for growing grapes. Aakesson works with classic Provençal grape varieties including Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Rolle (Vermentino), crafting wines that express the sun-drenched character of the Provence terroir.
