Gaec Bourseau et Fils is a Bordeaux wine producer located in Galgon, near the Libourne region on Bordeaux's Right Bank. The estate produces wines from the Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur appellations, working with classic Bordeaux grape varieties including Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Right Bank of Bordeaux is known for its Merlot-dominant wines, which tend to be softer and more approachable in their youth compared to the Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines of the Left Bank. The terroir of Galgon features clay and limestone soils that are well-suited to Merlot, giving the wines richness and roundness.
