About the Winery

Christian Cardet is a wine producer in Gabian, a village in the Languedoc region of southern France. Gabian is located near the town of Pézenas and produces wines under the IGP Pays de l'Hérault and AOP Languedoc appellations. The region is known for its Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters, which is ideal for growing grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Carignan. The diverse soils of the area, ranging from limestone to schist and clay, allow winemakers to craft wines with varied styles and expressions. The Languedoc has undergone a quality revolution in recent decades, with many producers focusing on lower yields and improved winemaking techniques.
