Hélène Mir is a Languedoc winemaker producing wines from the Caux region in the Hérault department. The Languedoc is France's largest wine region, stretching along the Mediterranean coast from the Rhône to the Spanish border. It is known for its diverse terroirs and grape varieties, producing wines ranging from everyday drinking to highly acclaimed cru wines. The region is home to numerous appellations including Picpoul de Pinet, Minervois, Corbières, and Faugères. Winemakers in the Languedoc work with grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan, and Cinsault for reds, and Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Marsanne, and Picpoul for whites.
